How and when did you guys start making music?

We started playing back in December 1995 when a group of friends joined forces to make some noise. We began to make songs and soon we were booking some gigs to see how things went. People enjoyed, we received good feedback and that was when we started to work more seriously. Back then, the band had a different name that we decided to change around 2001 but we never stopped.

How do you describe your sound?

Basically it's Thrash Metal! There are no other way to describe it. Although the first full length is a more old-school oriented Thrash, the second one (released this year) has a heavier approach mainly because the vocals. But still it's Thrash all the way and that's how it is going to be 'till the end!

What are you guys all about?

Having fun, being around people and friends at our gigs, drinking, partying and making music reach as much fans as possible. We also use our music to express all the hate we have for things we despise in this world. At least, it will prevent us to turn out to be serial killers
sooner or later hahaha! That's the power of music and Metal!

What band do you think you would go well with?

Definetly Exodus, Destruction, Onslaught, Tankard, Hatesphere, Sodom, Slayer and Kreator. Fortunately we already had the privilege to share the stage with Onslaught, Tankard, Exodus and Hatesphere. And that was a fucking blast!!!

What bands are your biggest influence?

Mainly Slayer, Exodus, Kreator, Death, Sodom and Hatesphere. We also love At the Gates, Destruction, Death Angel, Forbidden, The Haunted, Annihilator and the list goes on.... :)

What CDs do you have released and what can you tell us about them?

Well, despite the 14 years of existence, we only released 2 full length CD's. We released some tapes back in 1996 to 1998, a promo CD called "Under the Ground" in 2001, appeared on several compilations but the albums only came up in 2005 with "Thrash Killing Machine" and in 2010
with "Hate Division". Both of them helped us reach many people and get more fans, specially this last one. It also gave us the opportunity to play a lot in Portugal, on all top Metal festivals, having the chance to play with a lot of well-known bands like Sepultura, Exodus, Mortician, Napalm Death, Obituary, Pestilence, Benediction, Mastodon, The Haunted, Grave, Nuclear Assault, Blind Guardian, Onslaught, Tankard, Textures, Belphegor and lots of others!

What is the music scene like in Portugal and what kind of response do you get from your fans?

It's awesome! 99% of the bands that visit our country simply love it! We have a strong extreme Metal scene, mainly when it comes to Festivals and it's very wild and crazy when it comes to Death and Thrash Metal shows! People never stop and it's really intense. Also, we have good
studios and professionals and the quality of many bands is really amazing. It's a shame so few people have noticed the Metal scene in Portugal and only have heard of Moonspell. But they should try harder and surely they will find lots of bands to become fans of.

What's the craziest fan story you can tell me?

Well, a violent crowd-surfing inside a bathroom with 4 people where would only fit 2 (don't ask why but it was strange), having some fans back in 1996 trying to steal drink cards from the club so we could drink with them until we dropped and without paying nothing, of course. And
other stuff too I can't remember.

What would you like to tell your fans?

Support the bands you like!! Spread the word! Buy the CD's, download the music, pass and show it to other people you think they may like it, we don't give a fuck. As long as it reaches the ones who will support us and become fans... And support all the Metal scene!

I love the old school thrash this band delivers. I believe it is a forgotten genre and should be explored today once again. Everybody, check out the band at myspace.com/pitchblackattack
